The zig-zag picketed path will be better integrated into the landscape when we add the complete landscape with river bank and river. Likewise, the trenches and dirt piles will terminate more naturally into the steep riverbank.

 

NOTE:  The chinking, like all the elements, must be kept as irregular as possible so that the whole thing doesn't begin to look like a lot of tinker toys in the medium and long shots.
